The Cheese of Asia - Tofu
This is a really simple, delicious and healthy tofu dish. This is great for vegetarians too.
I chopped some capsicium, coriander, parsley (you can add anything you think goes) and added some onions on top of the silken tofu. (you can choose to lightly stir fry them first)
Drizzle some soysauce and sesame oil over the tofu to add flavour.
Put the colourful toppings and tofu into a preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius and heat for about 10 minutes. By this time the sauce and flavours would have been absorbed by the tofu.
Enjoy the soft and silky Rainbow Tofu!
Tofu is really healthy because it is high in protein, low in saturated fats and a good source of calcium as well as vitamin E. It is also cholesterol free. There are so many ways to cook it which makes it such a versatile dish. You can deep fry it, stir fry, sizzle, blend it and put it in cakes (someone made it once and it was not bad!) etc. Just don't call it the cheese of asia - this cracks me up.
