Singapore - Jie Traditional Bread Cafe

just a few stores down from the Punggol Nasi Lemak Centre, there is bread store called JIE Traditional Bread Cafe. This place sells freshly made bread which are the traditional soft loaf kind (hence the name). They sell curry chicken too, which is pretty good and of course, goes well with the bread the bakery makes.

The auntie spreads the choice of spread: peanut butter, butter, kaya etc on the spot, and you get to choose the kind of bread you want as well! corn, rainbow or plain. my choice was kaya and butter spread on rainbow bread. one loaf of bread is $1.50 with the spread, if not it is $1 for a plain loaf of sliced bread.

the rows and stacks of freshly made bread cooling off, hot from the oven!

oodles of kaya and butter spread on the cotton soft bread!

one bite and you will be hooked! such a simple yet tasty snack!
