French Toast Brekky

i promise more posts with my new iphone! totally loving it!

The bf requested french toast for breakfast today, so i made it for him. 

Really simple, i used 2 eggs (beaten + a pinch of salt) and 5 slices of bread (sliced in half so it is easier to cover it is egg)

add honey/maple syrup on top and it makes a great fulfilling breakfast

Missfattyfoodie went back to Jie Traditional Bread Cafe one night to grab some yummy soft bread for supper and also for breakfast next morning! So at the same time, new better photos were taken to share the place with you guys!

Singapore - Jie Traditional Bread Cafe

just a few stores down from the Punggol Nasi Lemak Centre, there is bread store called JIE Traditional Bread Cafe. This place sells freshly made bread which are the traditional soft loaf kind (hence the name). They sell curry chicken too, which is pretty good and of course, goes well with the bread the bakery makes.

The auntie spreads the choice of spread: peanut butter, butter, kaya etc on the spot, and you get to choose the kind of bread you want as well! corn, rainbow or plain. my choice was kaya and butter spread on rainbow bread. one loaf of bread is $1.50 with the spread, if not it is $1 for a plain loaf of sliced bread.
