Singapore - Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Wondering where to go for desserts after dinner in Vivocity, wandered into max brenner's chocolate bar as no one can ever have enough of chocolates (well in my case), and it was newly opened in a location other than at Esplanade, so pop in to have a look at the decor and sweets!

We ordered peanutbutter sweets ($13.90) and chocolate soufflé, which wasn't in the menu description but had a photo in the menu and which we were enticed by and upon enquiry, they do make it so we ordered one despite the hefty price of $16.

Soufflé - The word soufflé is the past participle of the French verb souffler which means "to blow up" or more loosely "puff up", hence the blown up look of the pastry which crumbles easily when eaten.

The peanut butter sweets were layered slices of chocolate and peanutbutter bars, and came with caramel yoghurt. It was a tad sweet but enjoyable nevertheless. The chocolate soufflé came with a scoop of vanilla icecream and a side of strawberries and chocolate drizzle. The cake was not as warm as we would have liked and the chocolate ganache inside was quite a small serving but tasted good nevertheless.

We sat at the outside portion of the cafe because there were not enough seats inside.

Walk by the river to burn off some calories with a view of the resort.

Location is at Vivocity level one.

  1. I like chocolate but majority of my friends blamed me for wasting their money.

NOT A PLACE FOR GROUP GATHERING even if you are treating them!

How many people can appreciate EXPENSIVE chocolate?
